I am a qualified Scotvec/ City and Guilds trainer and assessor, and also offer Elementary and Intermediate Food Hygiene Training through the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS).

I have run food hygiene training courses for some of Edinburgh's top restaurant groups and on each occasion I have tailored the course for the specific venue, to take into account the main business activity. I understand it can be difficult and costly to your business to allow time for staff training so I also offer on-site training for the elementary food hygiene course, working around your business hours. This could be done over two or three sessions of 2 to 3 hours each between lunch and dinner service which allows the business to remain unaffected. I also offer personal cookery lessons, which you may wish to use as a gift or as part of a team building exercise. A very popular activity is Cook Your Own Dinner Day, where I handle all of the logistics and venue, so your guests can turn up and have a fun day of demonstration, followed by trying their hand at replicating what they have learned. Don't worry, I keep a close eye on everyone and am always at hand to avert any disasters- but if they should, I make sure no-one goes hungry as a result!
